Elli, Elaina, Martin & Ricardo -
"The Royal Gray Rhino" Coaster
My name is Elli and my job is the engineer. Another person in my group is Elaina and she was the constructor. Another person in my group was Martin and he was the measurer. Last but not least is Ricardo, he was the accountant for our group.
To start building our coaster: step 1 - we drew all of our coaster sketches. Then we used the website called Coaster Creator to design our coaster and test it. Step 2 - we added friction to our coaster. We used felt circles and sandpaper to make the marble slow down at the end of the coaster. We also added 2 loops in the beginning before the big drop. Step 3 - we added some finishing touches. Step 4 - we finished our coaster. Our coaster cost $51.00 to build.
A difficulty we had was trying to stop the marble. A success we had was keeping the marble on the track.
