Chase, Sarim, Sean & Brogan -
"The Swift Green Shark"
Brogan was the engineer, Chase was the measurer, Sarim was the accountant, and Sean was the constructor.
Step 1 - we drew sketches of our roller coaster. Step 2 - we sketched a coaster we all liked and agreed on. Step 3 - we created our coaster on the website, Coaster Creator. We tested it on there too. Step 4 - we built the roller coaster using foam tubes and tape. We had to buy our materials. Our coaster cost $87.00 to build!
We came to some difficulties like stopping the marble. Another difficulty was keeping the marble on the track. So we tilted the track and it worked! We had a lot of friction, using felt circles and sandpaper, but it didn't stop the marble at the end. Next time we would add more felt and sandpaper to build up enough friction for the marble to stop.
